Techno Parade

Every year, dance music is honoured in Paris with a parade through the city. It effectively resembles the Mardi Gras, only the "floats" are simply flat bed trucks, with enormous speakers attached to the side. A DJ then mans some turntables aboard each truck. Then the floats are jammed with as many revelers as could possibly fit aboard a flat bed truck to dance along with the music, and volia, you have the Techno Parade. If you are not one of the chosen few to go aboard a float, you get to stand along the side of the route, (which winds its way about 6km through the streets of Paris) and get as much alcohol (and probably drugs) into you as you can in order to fully appreciate exactly what is being blared out by each truck as it passes by. People seemed to find their favourite DJ's or people playing their favourite electro, and would walk down the street with the truck dancing away, feeling jealous of the chosen few who were lucky enough to be aboard the truck.

Then of course one the parade had passed through it was time for the big clean up from this army of cleaning beasts.
